– 2 large red onions

At the beginning, heat up the oven to 180 degrees. Cut off the garlic tops and wrap them along with the olive oil in aluminum foil, and bake for about 90 minutes. Then, let it cool off.In a pot on a medium heat, put two tablespoons of butter and olive oil. Stew the onions for 10-15 minutes.
Then, put the previously baked garlic to the stewed onions. Stir for a while and then add the chicken soup, the dried herbs and the chopped fresh thyme.
After few minutes lower the heat, add the bread scraps and allow the soup to stew for 5-10 minutes until the bread becomes soft.
