Mangoes are very popular all around the world, as they are extremely beneficial, and are very delicious.
This alkaline fruit has been scientifically established to give many health benefits.
The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) discovered that in spite of the natural sugar content, the everyday consumption of mangoes normalizes blood sugar levels.
A study tested a group of obese animals, where some of them received a daily dose of 10 grams of freeze-dried mango for 3 months. After that, researchers tested their blood sugar levels and discovered that animals which received mango had dramatically declined in their blood sugar levels.
Dr. Edralin Lucas, Ph.D., the author of the study, explains:
“Even though the mechanism by which mango apply its effects guarantee further investigation, we do know that mangoes have a complex mixture of polyphenolic compounds.”
Another study carried out at the Oklahoma State University as well confirmed these results, as researchers exposed that the consumption of mango decrease insulin resistance and advance glucose tolerance.
In addition, another Australian study demonstrated that the consumption of this miraculous fruit ease inflammation owing to high cholesterol levels, and slows down the formation of illnesses connected to metabolic syndrome.
A doctor from University of Queensland commented:
“We do not know yet how the whole thing’s going to play out but we know some of the individual components (off mango) activate these receptors and even inhibit them. That could end up with positive nutritional health benefits for diabetes and high cholesterol.”
